Taxes!

Yesterday I finished the taxes for our family. It only took 4 hours this year. I think last year it was 6...Anyway, at the end of it there was this rather large number in RED in the upper right corner of my screen with "Federal owed" in front of it. I thought to myself,"Wow, I wasn't expecting that." Usually I am pretty savvy with the tax stuff, but this year I must have been off my game. So I prayed,"Lord, I don't want to pay that much. It would be great if I could pay less." Then I found this great deduction for state and local taxes. We bought two cars last year so our deduction almost wiped the entire RED amount owed. I was so happy! I wanted to run around our neighborhood shouting,"THANK YOU JESUS!!!!" But, it was 11:20pm and I figured people probably wanted to sleep. I love, love, love, Jesus and I am so grateful that He cares about taxes and money and my mental health! I'll have to let you know how it goes next year, since we aren't expecting to buy any cars=)
